Buchanan attended Wolmers Boys School and York University Toronto, Canada, where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and Politics. In 1991 as Technical Director of the Micro Investment Development Agency (MIDA) he researched and designed the Community Revolving Fund a saving unit model and later established the Community Development Funds (CDF) or MIDA approved community based lending agencies registered as Provident Societies. In 1997 he began doctoral work in Development Studies at the Consortium Graduate School, UWI, from which he took leave of absence to implement the Operation Pride, Jamaica's major land reform programme. He is the author of the book "Community Development in the ‘Ranking' economy" a socio-economic study of the Jamaican Ghetto. A lecturer in Land Economics at UTech (1990-2000), he is currently the chairman of the Board of Advanced Land Development Systems Limited and Port Royal Brotherhood.Full info on Paul L. Buchanan Publications of the Chairman Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O): Beverley Spence-Buchanan, B.Sc. Mrs. Buchanan holds a B.Sc. in Psychology and Sociology (cum laude), a certificate in HRM. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Social Policy and Administration, and a Diploma in Education. She brings to the table over 15 years experience in office administration, marketing and community development and micro sector finance, gained from assignments with the Jamaica Public Service, Life of Jamaica and the Micro Investment Development Agency (MIDA). She served the United Nations in the capacity of Community Development Officer (Skills 2000) and has worked as a research assistant in various social surveys conducted by the UWI. Technical Services Supervisor: Mr. Buchanan has completed a number of courses in computer graphics and web design. He has also gained valuable knowledge and experience in a number of software applications.
